During this difficult period for Britain and the world, we at GLW Engineering will remain committed to delivering the same custom-built, quality steel fabrications that we always have. Components and architectural commissions can still be purchased from GLW, although implementation may, of course, have to wait until Q4 2020 (at the earliest). As a supplier to the construction industry, we currently have no legal restrictions on our ability to work during lockdown. We're committed to not extending our lead times wherever possible, increasing our quoted prices, or shutting down contact with our valued customers. If you need third-party components or help, we'll work closely with our dedicated suppliers to make sure that our supply chain continues as normal – insofar as is humanly possible.
However, for the safety, security, and convenience of our staff and customers, we will be making a few changes to the way we operate and manufacture our bespoke steel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Remote Working, Hygiene, & Social Distancing
While steel is always fabricated in a clean and sterile environment, GLW will go one step further during the pandemic. Our team will be informed daily of the latest medical and WHO guidelines for combating COVID-19 and maximising personal safety. Special emails and posters will be used to inform employees of the steps they need to take to ensure that best practice is followed.
Hand sanitisation, deep cleaning, and masks will all be employed to mitigate the spread of the virus at our facilities. Engineers are observing social distancing procedures at work on our premises, while administrative, sales, and managerial staff are working remotely.
Site Visits & Face To Face Meetings
In accordance with government social distancing guidelines, site visits, and face-to-face meetings with our clients have been suspended until the COVID-19 quarantine and lockdown are lifted.
Please do not visit us: representatives are still available to talk with you via phone, video app by appointment (via Zoom, Facetime, WhatsApp Video), or email for the duration, during office hours, Monday to Friday.
